Agreed, but when he's cold, he looks like a 4th liner. When he's hot he's a great 1st line power winger. If he could at least be decently productive when he's cold it would go a long way to helping this team and cementing his spot in the lineup.
Consistency has been Ferland's problem since the day he was drafted.

He keeps getting better, though:
· In his first full season he four times went +5 games without registering a point, and his longest drought was 13 games.
· In 2016–17 Ferland had a 15-game drought, but then only two +5-game scoreless streaks.
· Last season Ferland had three +5-game scoreless streaks, two of which occurred late in the season when the entire team stopped scoring. His longest scoring drought was eight games, and he still finished with 20 goals and +40 points.
