I don't think that you need to have her car there to renew the registration. Just drive to the closest Saskatchewan Registry Office and bring the papers with you.

If you think renewing the car registration is crappy this way try doing your drivers' license this way. One year when I still had my British Columbia DL I drove from Camrose to Valemont in December while it was snowing. I drove six hours, got my license renwed and drove six hours back. Fun stuff.
