At this point having Brower contract on the roster is simply preventing the Flames from signing another Brouwer. It's not cap space that is hindering the Flames from adding better players to the roster. So long as Peters makes him earn his ice time and can put him in the press box if 12 other guys are better I don't think his cap hit matters as much as many of us fans think.
