Except his reputation isn’t hurt. Everyone knows Melnyk is a scumbag.
I don’t think anyone is upset at what he said, they’re upset that some second rate blogger is bragging that she is intentionally trying to throw Alfie under the bus because she dislikes him. Her blogs and tweets are intentionally inflammatory. She’s loving this controversy. But the controversy is that she broke the “off the record” rule, not that Alfie said what everyone already knew.
