But Hossa has indicated that the skin condition is "progressive", which means it worsens over time.
And one of the big problems is the side effects of the medicine used to treat the condition.
And if he doesn't wear his hockey equipment, it seems he doesn't get flare ups, and doesn't need the medicine, so no side effects.
