In another note, everyone seems to be talking a lot about playing with a chip on their shoulder because they are a team of castoffs. How is that different than every single expansion team in the history of sports? That hasn’t seemed to make such a difference before.

I agree. This is why I tend to think the events to start the season which galvanized the team and the city played a huge part. This was brought up again in the Engelland pre-game piece.
