The Sharks had to make the very hard decision to part way with Jacob Voracek early Friday morning. Voracek is coming off a career year in the NHL and should rate as one of the best forwards in the CPHL.

We had a very difficult decision to make between Crosby, Wheeler, Rask and Voracek. With the complexities of dealing UFAs (sign and trade delays), Voracek is really the only real option right now.

Certainly not ideal and we would have preferred just to keep him if possible but we just couldn't quite afford it under the $75Mill cap.

The deal shakes out as follows:

To San Jose:
#8 and 2019 1st(nas)

To Nashville:
Jacob Voracek

Thanks for the deal Mathlete, not sure if this needs a league vote or not but I don't see an issue with it, but I guess we'll find out.
