[/LIST]The majority of the misdiagnosis articles seem to be from Great Britain and the US. But there is no doubt what so ever that meningitis is misdiagnosed a lot by doctors all over the developed world. So when parents treat their kid as if they have a cold, it's not really that unusual or even that negligent.. Everything ever written about meningitis says that it is easy to misdiagnose especially in children and especially in children under 2.

Sorry you're so bent about it. Your experience getting it as an adult is nothing like a two year old getting it.
I was genuinely interested as I was diagnosed extremely quickly and this was 14 years ago. So to say thousands of people die yearly due to wrong diagnosis I was surprised and thought it was a bold claim. I’ll tske a look when I get s chance to read some of these things, thanks .
