Interesting article at the Athletic about RHDs that the Leafs should target. The author makes a solid push for them to trade with Calgary for Rasmus Andersson.

Trade is one for one: Rasmus Andersson for Kasperi Kapanen.
The Flames are desperate for a right winger (they had Chris Stewart playing on their first line after they claimed him off waivers), and the Leafs are desperate for a RHD. Calgary has a surplus of RHD in their organization, while Toronto has a surplus of wingers. The way I see it, this trade makes too much sense.

It’s worth noting that Calgary has another high-end RHD prospect in Adam Fox, who’s been lighting up the NCAA for the past two years, not to mention Juuso Valimaki and Oliver Kylington, who look like excellent LHD prospects. Considering their organizational depth at defence, they could afford to move Andersson if it helped them address their biggest need (RW).
If only Toronto had a surplus of prospects at a position where Calgary had an organizational weakness…

You might find this hard to believe, but I’m a big Rasmus Andersson fan. There aren’t too many players who have accomplished what he has at such a young age, and he’s barely scratched the surface of his potential. If you’re a fan of Dermott’s game, you’re going to love this kid.
Despite having a historical season in the AHL, Calgary only gave him 10 games this year, opting to play Stone on their bottom pairing instead. Considering that Stone is making $3.5 million for two more years with a modified no-trade clause, Andersson might be the odd man out (which is crazy when you think about it).
