The other similar and easy to use standup model is the Weber Smokey mountain. Based on just a handful of cooks on either model, I'm very happy with the pit barrel. I hung a 17 lb brisket in it on Friday night. Cooked well over night and held its temp. I got up once to check and stir the coals.
