I hope i'm right in just assuming all the people on CP clamouring for bennett to be traded are just impatient fans who don't know as much as hockey people who wouldn't cut bait on Bennett at this point.

Other young players like Monahan, Gaudreau, Jankowski, Ferland, Hamilton, Tkachuk, Kulak all did fine under Gulutzan. Maybe it's more the player than the coach?
