Yes based on years gone by there's still a lot of name recognition there and I get that but heading to a club with that much pressure to win with so many financial issues seems like a tough spot to start out. Also I dunno about managers always going up, if you fail at a level badly you usually go down or fade away. Would have seemed to me to make more sense to start with a good solid championship or even league 1 team with good financial backing and less pressure. Hopefully he does well anyway and makes it interesting there, seeing him and Brendan R face off as managers next year will be kind of cool next year.
