Yeah, wrong word - grinder, energy guy, depth guy, what have you... the point is that he's going to step in before Nate Schmidt, and that he's going to try to take Joe Pavelski, who is a top-end offensive player, off the ice with him because that's just a good trade for the Knights.
As for the disallowed goal, for me, he was clearly interfered with and the argument is whether he had enough time to recover. It was a continuous play, so I can understand why they called it like that. It looked like Jones at least made a half-hearted effort to get back to get the puck (which, it's not like you're giving up on a play in OT).
