Wooden Garbage Bin
So my wife and I recently purchased a new home which has a wooden garbage bin at the end of the driveway.
This is great as we're next to a fairly large park and there are a number of animals around.
However, the lid is detached and it appears that the garbage that was in the bin was covered in snow and left there until I cleaned it up today. It was smelly, wet, all around gross.
That said, because of this the floor boards in the bin have rotted away.
What's my best course of action to repair? My, very uneducated/laymen's thought was to remove the wood currently on the bin/box, and replace it with a sheet of plywood (or something to that effect).
I thought I'd check the CP braintrust to see what its thought process was; should I continue as is, get the plywood, remove the current planks that make up the existing 'floor' (I use the term loosely).
