I'd have to see the cast list again to double check, but a quick count at the end (including the post credits scene) leaves me with 16 major character deaths by the time the dust settles. So Marvel definitely went there. I also really liked how even the credits embraced this catastrophe - no "The Avengers will return" at the end of them...just a "Thanos will return"
