Personally, I don't care much about whether the Flames have hired a posession coach or not, or whether he is a players' coach or a hard ass, or if he is good with the power play or penalty killing or whatever. I just want to see them win. There were two coaches available with very impressive winning records in Sutter and AV. The Flames went with a guy who has never won a round of the playoffs after 4 years.
I am disappointed in their decision. He may turn into a guy like Bob Johnson and take the team to new levels of success. However, usually it turns out like when they hired Hay or Gilbert or GG.
I'm hoping I am wrong, but Flames history suggests this will be a poor hire.
