I will remain somewhat skeptical - as I said, regardless of what he would say I wouldn't hang him nor would I offer accolades off the bat.. but...

He is as charismatic as Hartley. I think this helps.

He wants this team to be hard-working, and it starts with training camp. Hopefully it will be a Hartley-esque training camp (which was the hardest in the NHL).

I love how he is wanting to speed-up the way the Flames play. This has been a HUGE issue with me where it comes to Gulutzan. This SINGLE change might be enough to propel them into the playoffs. It brings Deluxe Moustache's thread up quite nicely in fact, as I feel the faster you transition and attack, the more movement there is in the offensive zone.

Wants to have the defencemen joining the attack. Also mentioned that the top pairing was just scratching the surface in terms of points - Some people may disagree, but Giordano IS a 45-55 point two-way defencemen. It wasn't just "Hamilton is scratching the suface" - it was the pair. Mentions that Brodie was good on the RS - with Hamonic here, I don't THINK he would move Brodie to the right side, but we will see. Brodie on his exit interview stated that he is much better at attacking and feels more comfortable doing so. This seems like a coach that can get Brodie back to being lethal. Please don't trade Brodie now. At any rate, this brings up Enoch's thread about points from defencemen.

What I wanted to hear from this coach is exactly what I heard. Tough but not demeaning (different from Hartley, which is good there), active D and attack with speed - without question this is a fast team and I think some of you might be surprised at how fast they can play and attack. I think this team can be lethal as a two-way team that transitions quickly.
