True, but that doesn't address what I am seeing that is significantly different from what the Flames delivered this season. Also, we know they have it in them—the Flames were a pretty good forechecking team in the 2014–15 season.
The Hurricanes are always moving in the offensive zone—both their feet and the puck. It was maddening how stationary the Flames would appear once across the blue line, and this frequently struck me as a huge factor as to why so many of their shots were ineffective—they seemed to be fixated on making the perfect setup too often; they stopped skating too often; they held on to the puck for too long too often.
