VGK is an exciting team to watch, no doubt.
but a couple of points; Gallant was a coach that was also unceremoniously dumped by the owners (who can forget 'Cab Gate')... now granted, he actually was successful on the ice with FLA, but that didn't save him in the end.
MacPhee sat down with Gallant and they figured out what kind of system they wanted to run...and they drafted accordingly. Now, while the players available were all 'second tier' in the estimation of their respective teams, they created a line up made to play the system Gallant wanted...
Peters doesn't have that luxury; he will need to get this lineup to buy into his system and his philosophy...
i don't know how this will go...but at this point we'll just have to wait and see...One thing that i think will be good is that Peters is an old school taskmaster type...maybe that 180 will snap the team out of their complacency
