Damn straight, what have we ever done to them right.... it isn't like we tried to kill them with disease, killed their food, took away all their land and put them on little patches of land, discriminated agaisnt them, took them away from their famlies, attempted to starve them, tried to eliminate their culture, or have done anything like that right kipperfan?

So Maxwell why don't you educate us as to why the natives should get "handouts" for occurances 50-400 years ago. I realize discrimination still exists today but we don't give out reparation payments to African Americans, Orientals, etc.etc. So why do these up and coming natives deserve this "handout". I 100% agree that reparation payments should be made to those people/families that were affected directly but i also believe this should have been a one time payment. Why should my brother in law (who is something like 1/10 native) receive his schooling/home expenses while at school for free? He has not been affected at all by the discrimination, etc.etc. In the mean time i have to work 30 hours a week and go to school full time plus pay off a student loan at the end of it. Is that Fair? Schooling is just one issue but there are many perks to being native. I have no problem with these people taking this if the government is foolish enough to keep giving, hell I'd love an education on the governments tab (which I realize everyone would pay for through the taxes they pay yearly). I have several native friends, and a brother in law, and the majority of them feel the same way. Please enlighten me Maxwell.
