From what I understand, Peters has an out clause in his contract, and GG didn't. GG wouldn't have taken if he did.
Peters doesn't necessarily want to be in Carolina, and if he takes the out then Carolina doesn't have to pay him anything. I would assume that if he is fired they have to pay his final year.
Can someone confirm?
