Crosby is a player to admire. He obviously has great support, but he takes skill to another level while also being extremely well-rounded and excelling in all areas that are needed for his team to win. The last few playoff years have been so impressive to watch and have, in my opinion anyways, been his best years in the league.
The clip of his tip-in goal earlier in this thread reminded me of another goal he had earlier in the year where he essentially received and controlled the puck mid-air at and then batted into the net over Carey Price. He just has that skill lying around while still being so good at other areas of the game that he works to be the best at.
There's no question in my mind that Crosby is more valuable to a team now than McDavid. Also, Crosby has taken years to develop into what he is through discipline and practice on top of outstanding talent. With McDavid in the Oilers culture, I can see him never putting in those hours to develop dominant abilities beyond his speed and passing vision. If he doesn't put that effort and time in, he'll never reach Crosby's current level
