I agree with this, but am really hesitant to compartmentalize the rumoured candidates as "conventional" or "unconventional" choices, or to disqualify certain rumoured candidates as obviously bad choices.

I think it is presumptuous to believe that if Treliving does not share my opinion of candidate X he must not know what he is doing.
