They're not exclusive of each other though. You're not hiring a coach with a proven track record in spite of them being bad. You're hiring a quality coach. The last time this team had a measure of success they played a more up tempo game. Under Gulatzan they played a more deliberate, slower paced, possession focused game that seemingly the construction of the team isn't ideal for.
From all accounts, Peters also has this style. Combined with the lack of any success at this level, the level we care about, it's not a comforting feeling.
