My worry with Sutter is more the NHL seems to have changed again in the last 5 years since his 2nd cup win with the Kings.

This league is much more about speed & skill, with more of a secondary benefit if you can play that way with size (aka Predators and Jets).

People here complain that GG didn't play with enough speed, or activate his puck moving d-men enough - yet want Sutter whom faced those same criticisms about Doughty not being as offensive as he could be because of the shackles that Sutter had on him (Doughty hit 60 pts for the first time this season post-Sutter).

Great coach for the right team but this roster isn't built for his style of play the same way that Kings roster was.

That Kings roster was built for D.Sutter "Grind You Down" style of play with Quick, Richards, Brown, Mitchell, Stoll, Green, Scuderi, etc. This Flames roster would be an absolute failure if they were forced to try to play Sutter's style IMO.
