Crazy thought: maybe you’re wrong, and the decision even today isn’t as clear cut as you believe it was in November.
As fans, we have a simplified perspective of what is going on, we need to accept that. Was Gulutzan hockey boring? Am I glad he’s gone? Yes and yes. But if you’re saying you had enough info to make a call after a playoff season and 10 games, you’re absolutely advocating for a knee-jerk reaction.
If you believe this team is a lot better than it is, and coaching is solely to blame, I think you’re missing something. It’s a part, but now that we’ve gone a full season we know better what the problems ARE, and it extends beyond the coach.
Fire him in November and if the Flames don’t perform, people shrug it off as “adjusting to a new coach/system.” You weren’t saving this season in November, as far as I can tell.
