This bothers me but I blame the artist.
If the artists wanted to fight scalping they could require the credit card holder to be at the gate or the name of the person for each ticket to be required at time of purchase. They choose not to have any enforcement.
Part of the problem as well is the artists like to monetize their fan clubs and along with first right of refusal there are maybe 5000 tickets available to a given concert. So even without scalping you don't eliminate the problem of the instant sell outs. Also the computer aided purchasing doesn't help either.
The options are market price by the artist, scalping, or tickets secured against resale. These options are determined by the artist
