It is friction fit into the recessed housing and will just pull down (the entire white trim has to come down to change the bulb). Sometimes it is quite tight, but it just pulls down. Easiest way is to tilt the bulb (only tilts on one axis) and then grab onto the metal that is exposed and wiggle as you pull

Pro tip. I've got quite a few of these and just pulling down on the trim is difficult and make sure you have clean hands!
