How exactly do you know that starting in Stockton and building his confidence didn't help his game? Why is it always assumed that because someone doesn't like a decision, that it's the wrong one.
I personally think if a player has to fight for a spot it's not a bad thing. How do you know getting sent down didn't fuel him to play even better?
