Martin Jones was also playing in Calgary. That would have been a nice pickup.
The Flames franchise is not well run from top to bottom. From ownership and the building negotiations, to scouting, coaching, etc. This is why this has pretty much been a failed franchise for the last 30 years.
I’m a long time Flames fan and always root for the team. I have just come to accept reality that this is a mediocre franchise. Unless there are some dramatic changes in the decision makers for this franchise it will continue to be an irrelevant team.
