Not defending McDavid, but there are some nasty flus & bugs out there. It's the luck of the draw. Several teens died from strep throat on Vancouver Island this past winter. I've been fortunate as are most people, but don't count your eggs before they hatch.
It's disappointing that each of the years the Flames miss the playoffs, they seem to have very little representation especially on Team Canada. As much as I dislike the Oil, the one thing you can say is they step up more in this area than us. Representing the country should be the be all, end all for most athletes.
