But how do you keep a site up and running when you charged the guys who financed and operated it with a whole laundry (pun intended) list of crimes?

I understand the concern and I understand that a large part of the community was trying to use it for safe solicitation. But that wasn't the extent of the entire operation and I'm reasonably sure they knew this and were willfully profiting off of it.
