Threads these days just grow to be too large too quickly. I can't keep up and read 9 pages on every thread.
You have to search through and find the actual discussion through all the crap.
I would propose having a minimum word count required for every post. Just enough to make every post somewhat thought out and not a quick one line or even one word. 150 words maybe?
It would also limit the number of photo only posts that are just jokes and really add nothing.
Too many people on this forum seem to feel like they have to comment something to every discussion even if they aren't really adding anything to the discussion.

I can understand this sentiment but I used to help run a very large forum about 10 years ago and introducing this type of thing really helped kill the community entirely. It sounds good in theory but it wouldn't make those people improve the quality of their posts, it would just make them stop coming here entirely. And again some might be thinking that even that might not be too bad but trust me, after a while you end up with only a small handful of posters and the whole thing just isnt fun anymore.
These days I think forums like this need less restrictions to promote growth and participation. Let the community decide what's acceptable don't force this type of thing with rules. (Speaking strictly about rules about posting quality, obviously you don't turn it into a free for all entirely)
