Although...I do feel like a Hamilton for Seguin deal would make that whole Leafs/Bruins trade go full circle.

Hamilton's value is literally astronomical in the NHL IMO. He's a 6'6, 230 lb puck rusher who tied for the defensemen lead in goals. Is he the perfect player? No, he could be more physical, he could be better defensively. But with his size, his skating, his ability and his age his value is sky high. Not to mention he's a right shot which some teams have problems finding.
GM's would be tripping over themselves to make offers on Hamilton IMO. Chiarelli would've happily traded Hall for Hamilton. That's the type of player you can expect in return and maybe more. Wouldn't surprise me if you could get a 1st line winger + 1st round pick/top prospect. I still consider the deal to get him to be an absolutely fleecing by Treliving.
Outside of franchise #1 centremen, top pairing dmen are the next most valuable commodity in the NHL. Hamilton's puck rushing ability, shooting ability, size and age all combine to make him a premium asset in the NHL. I think if Treliving chooses to listen to offers on him then there will be some offers that may be hard to turn down.
