these guys are pros, so there's going to be criticism...but once it veered towards attacking players as opposed to the play itself, those threads really became toxic...
i think a good rule of thumb people should follow is, before you hit the "Enter" key, is your post something you would say to that poster if they were right in front of you?
if not, you might want to consider rephrasing your point... or whether you actually have one.

I agree, the GT were usually a place of optimism. It became really difficult to come into them and you saw as the season went on they became less active. It just snowballed into a mess. There were portions where I would get home from a game and scroll through a GT and it seemed like I was at a completely different game.
Sometimes it felt like it was a giant troll job. At times logic just seemed to be tossed out the window and people were posting negative things for the hell of it.
I get people are unhappy, but it got downright nasty.
