Not stupid, but unnecessarily abrasive. Strawman arguments, ad homenim attacks, etc. Sometimes there's a miscommunication, or clarification that can be asked for, or a valid counterpoint that can be made. But a lot of times people will just go right into attack mode first.

For sure. For me, I don't post a lot - but I ghost post a ton, and it's usually when I step back and try and think of what someone reading my post might come across; and usually it's when one of the two extremes you point out might pop up (and that I don't really want to/have time to get into a back-and-forth with someone).
