Why do you believe Jones is the better d-man? Have you watched Jones as extensively as you have Hamilton? Do you have a statistical basis for your opinion? Have you run an "eye test" on Jones V Hamilton with equal levels of exposure to both players? Is it possible you're just being hyper critical of Hamilton due to over exposure?
Your statement feels like it's based on absolutely nothing other than the age old proven analytical approach of "the grass is greener on the other side", because all the evidence out there would say Hamilton is better than Jones, and better than a great many other defencemen. He's an elite top pairing defender at the age of 24.
