And yes, if the GM needs end of year interviews to make a decision, I feel that's a problem. There's no wall of silence between the GM and the team all year. He should have a pretty solid idea of what's going on.

If you seem especially put off by something and make claims things are useless, discussion on forums is predicated by backing that up with some kind of reasoning. Instead, what you said has equated to "I want it it happen now now now!"
You're the one who got upset people were questioning you and just stopped answering.
The only reason it's being brought up again is because you tossed out that "interviews are useless" witn no context.
As was pointed out a page ago, Treliving did player interviews and fired Hartley after, so there is really no cause for concern. But if you want to just blindly insist due diligence is useless, we can indeed move on, vehemently agreeing to disagree. That is now how professions work.
