A concussion isn't an injury you can rush back 'if the games matter'. If symptoms were telling the Flames Matthew isn't right, then no matter the game importance I sure hope he'd sit out for the full duration.

I took it as more of he was cleared but there was no point in playing when he could take the extra time. Kind of like any other injury at that point of the season except why not take the extra time with a concussion if you can.
