Personally, I don't think it is any one player.
I think the problem is that there are too many guys that are passive. Any one of them, on their own, is no problem. Two or even three of them is no problem.
But having all of: Monahan, Hamilton, Backlund, Frolik, Brodie, and then also guys like Stajan and Jankowski, there just isn't enough spunk.
