99 percent of YouTube stuff is fecal matter. I watch a lot of the 1% of stuff on YouTube that’s worth watching, had production value, and isn’t a giant circle jerk of narcissism and attention whoring.
But to think YouTube owes anyone, anything, when it’s their platform, and their servers content generators are using for free, is silly and entitled.
If your channel is worth seeing, and worth it to YouTube, they’ll promote you. If they don’t like your stuff, for any reason whatsoever, regardless of how awesome you or your followers feel it is, and want to bury it, that’s their right.
You want full creative control, and censorship, build a stand alone domain, post your videos, and wait for the masses to come. If it’s so awesome, the audience will find you.
Ans Lastly you can still have full creative control, make a very very good income and ‘work under someone’ all at the same time. When cost of doing business is in the millions annually, I’d much sooner play with house money, and get a cut for my efforts..... kinda sounds like YouTube, no? Difference is, my percentage is much higher.
