The funniest thing you said was about trading JG for this package was bad because of our need for scoring when this trade greatly increases our scoring. As much as I love JG you are right, this is a bad trade...for the Flyers. They would never do this. The amount of people who think this deal is terrible has to be a clear cut example of not looking at a deal from both sides.

I simply do not agree with your take on this one. The post above does not change my mind.
I don’t see Gaudreau forcing a trade this summer because of this health issue his dad had. If he did I wouldnt target a young Dman as the centerpiece of the trade. I also cringe at a 6x6 deal it will take to get Simmonds and am not sold thst Konecy will be more than what he is right now. We give up the best player on the deal.
Subtracting the only true forward superstar we have will not increase our scoring. The 3 players do have slightly more points than the 2 players we send out but moving Johnny leaves the Flames with zero superstar players.
