I enjoy watching my friend's FB wall, she moved from a pretty liberal area to this rural Montana area surrounded by pretty hard core conservatives and Trumpster supporters.

She's a sponge so her beliefs politically have done a pretty much 180, well maybe 90 at least lol.. Anyhow she has been posting all kinds of stories and things to push back against the left calling for gun law reform, and her latest was a story about how gun crime is at the lowest in US in many decades, which is true of course..

But what I'm fascinated by is her and her friends reactions in Montana when mass shootings occur (which has been on the rise obviously.) The reactions I can predict now pretty easy since I've watched in awe her FB wall during all the major mass shootings is the same..

1. Argue that its not time to talk about gun control immediately after the mass shooting
2. Say that banning guns is not a solution (No one has seriously suggested that, its a tiny tiny minority)
3. Spend most of her time talking about over reactions by liberals, argue over minute details of definitions and things that ultimately don't matter
4. Never offer any solutions, sometimes she even seems to support more guns in schools to teachers, or more police (security guards.)
5. Wait til the outrage is over and stop talking about it.

So when she posted this recent article, I said to her its now been around 10 mass shootings since you moved to Montana and became a more conservative person, yet you repeat this pattern (the list above) and have never suggested any solutions or supported any gun reform laws done at a federal level since gun laws done state by state don't have any significant effect nation wide.

After posting this "very personal attack" I was a few days later blocked, by a friend of 25 years that I have never been mean to, never said naughty words, walked on eggshells when I do on occasion post nonsense on her wall, like the time she attacked the BBC as "fake news" while using a personal blog of a right wing mouth piece as her justification for calling BBC fake news.

There isn't really a gun problem in the US as there is a partisan problem, and solving that will solve many other pressing issues. A multi party system? Finance and lobbying reform in politics? A civil war?

I just don't think the US is really able to save itself, its going to implode in the next 50 years and rebuild itself, hopefully in a positive way.

Anyways just my little rant.
