His comment about identity is a bit strange. Shouldn't he have come into the role with an idea about the identity he wanted to build here? Shouldn't his coaching hire have been an extension of that identity? Saying "we need an identity and that can mean a lot of different things" doesn't exactly paint a picture of what he wants to see.
