If your approach to the problem of trying to go through a brick wall is to stand 12 inches in front of it and punch it as hard as you can, the repercussions of each attempt will vary, but the end result will always be that you don't get through that brick wall.
You might skin your knuckles, break your knuckles, break your wrist, etc, but unless you stop after each failed attempt, evaluate what you learned and use that knowledge to modify future attempts, the end result will continue to be failure.
I suspect you're confusing repercussions with results.
