Well, I don't think I necessarily gave up junk in my proposal for Simmonds. They might love him but the rookies are coming together nicely for them as well. As I said, they can potentially a solid top 4 dman on that team who can move the puck. That may give them one of the strongest blueline in the eastern conference (Gostisbehere-Provorov-Brodie-Sanheim-Hagg-Manning). Everyone also thought that Philly loved Mike Richards and Jeff Carter... so crazier things have happened.
As for Raanta. Who knows? They haven't re-signed him yet, so I am not entirely 100% sure if he will be a UFA or not. As it stands at this moment, he will be a UFA. Have you had a chance to speak to their head office lately and did they tell you they love him and will re-sign him?
