They dominated us with their speed and skill, not their penchant for belligerence. If this fanbase ever wants to start changing things around from our 30 years of incredible mediocrity and disappointment, people need to start thinking differently or outside the box instead of clamoring for the same crap every year.

Nope, I do not associate truculence with fighting.
I associate truculence with players like Gary Roberts, like Jarome Iginla, Giordano, Tkachuk, players who are tough as nails but not goons or just fighters, players who can take care of themselves. They don't need their teammates to come running to their defense as they will take care of business by themselves. Their reputation precedes them and opposing players know not to mess with them.
The Flames don't have enough of those type of players. I don't consider someone like Hamilton as possessing a lot of truculence. I think he plays soft and as a double whammy, he also takes dumb penalties.
