Cliff you’re missing two key reasons. Ruining property. No one will want to live in a building if the units and all the hallways permanently reeks like smoke. I find this is more true for cigarettes but weed smell doesn’t just instantly dissipate. And if you’re selling, no one will want to buy your unit if it stinks and all the common areas stink. Even if you aren’t selling it justifies banning inside just for the annoyance it causes homeowners. Virtually all condo bylaws include stipulations you can’t have excessive odours emanating from you unit that could cause issues for other unit owners.
The other would be short term health issues. People with breathing problems, asthma, allergies etc may find their issues exacerbated by the smoke. That’s justification enough.
