The locker room is full of good guys. Good guys don't help win championships.
I think the organization is focused on the wrong type of character. Because the players are all saying how much character they have in that dressing room...well it's not helping them win and they're still fragile as ####.
Guys who want to win - guys with abnormal quantities of heart and drive - help win championships. Is Patrick Kane a good guy? Is getzlaf? Was tim Thomas? Is Brad marchand? No probably not all good guys. But they're all driven and they all have heart. And they all really want to win. And they're all champions.
Matt stajan - good guy, has done nothing in his career. What has he accomplished in the playoffs? He's played over 1000 games and done nothing of rememberance. No long playoff runs. Nice guy though. Seriously wtf? Who cares? Not me. This guy personifies what's wrong with the team. He's a career loser. Can't wait until his ahl quality skill is no longer in the nhl. Good guy though lol.

Yes I'm sure Brad tossed in a couple 2nd round picks because he heard Hamonic was a nice guy. Likely had nothing to do with the fact that he had 3 years on his deal at a 3.85 cap hit for a 25 year old top 4 dman.
