Sales at that volume is all about public perception. If they see that their future consumers (and there are kids in that group that will buy guns eventually) have a strong desire for both corporate responsibility and societal responsibility, the gun manufactures will create initiatives that will check those boxes.

Someone like the manufacturer would be really wise to do something like stating that they aren't going allow a larger magazine then 5 rounds to be used, or they're pulling the weapon off of the market in exchange for a different less destructive capable weapon.

They could do something like become really stringent with companies that manufacture add ons like Slide, that if they manufacture bump stocks and aren't licensed to manufacture accessories for their weapons that they will be sued into bankruptcy.

I think right now if gun manufacturers push to hard of freeing up restriction in the current environment that they will face a fairly large consumer backlash.

I personally think that the kid focusing on government is great, but can you imaging 5000 kids protesting outside of the Remington offices?
